Sir,
I have the honour to forward for Your Excellency's information copies of correspondence between Rear Admiral Robinson and the Colonial Government respecting payment for clearing the Albany Nullah from debris which choked it during the heavy rain of 27th and 28th June last.
As it now appears from Mr May's letter of the 19th instant, No.245/1904 C.5.0., that the wall which collapsed and caused the damage was War Office property, I would submit that Your Excellency may be pleased to direct the payment to Naval funds of the cost of clearing the Nullah (amounting to $1636.10) and also of dredging the sea bed at the outlet of the Nullah amounting to £500.
I have etc.
